Well, I know I was all like "I want to see LEGALLY BLONDE" then "I want to see JERSEY BOYS" and now, my thing is "I want to see EURYDICE" on this Saturday afternoon :) Yeah, I've heard great things about it, so I think I might want to try something new
Anyways, so I read that EURYDICE rush is $15 (which is great) and is sold 1/2 an hour before curtain. Does anyone know how fast they sell out of rush tickets? Like would I need to get to the theatre an hour or so before the tickets go on sale to get a seat?
Also, my school doesn't give student IDs because they are really stupid, so do you know if they would allow a report card? I know other box offices I've gone to have, but some can be stricter than others.
Anyways, thanks for all the help everyone, sorry for all my threads
:)
Pretty quickly. You may want to look into getting a youth advance ticket for $25, because the run ends this week and I think they've been selling out often.

I can't imagine the demand being too large anymore, though since this is closing weekend, it may spike.
Generally, it's whatever seats aren't sold by :30. When they run out of seats, they start selling general admission seats. Those locations differ, it's pretty much whatever's empty a minute to curtain. You'll definitely get a seat, though.
alright, thanks for the help Emcee and Yankee
If I end up deciding to see the show (which is in high favor right now) I'll get there like an hour or an hour and a half earlier, you know, just in case of a long line or something. Or maybe even earlier. I dont know, summer reading for school seems to be a great thing to do waiting in a rush line :)
again, thanks for the help
See it; Legally Blonde and Jersey Boys will be around in a week, a month, whatever. eurydice is something special and rare, and you shouldn't miss it.
Student rush has barely been offered throughout the last week because the show has been sold out by the time they would sell student rush. What they'll do is take your name and put you on a cancellation list - but they usually only pull four or five people off the list. Your best bet would be the $25 youth advance, which you can get online or at box office.
see eurydice if only for the the staging. even though i'm very conflicted on the staging, and what it does to the piece, it's still magnificant and definitely manages to to elevate one of the lesser Ruhl plays.
It's just breathtakingly staged...
YES.
it is. just gorgeous.
What defines youth? And where online can you purchase the youth tickets? I went on the Second Stage website and all they sell are Orchestra and Box seats at full price.
The Youth advance is 25 or under. Click on the Orchestra option, and then there'll be Full Price, Senior, or Youth.
I love how in New York you can be 25 and still considered a youth.

"Youth" is a fancy New York term for "poor," remember...
Ahh, yes. As is "student."

Wait, is this youth advance thing available for other shows as well? Off-broadway is more expensive for me than Broadway right now...
This is just a Second Stage policy. So it applies to any of the shows produced at either of their theatres.
