I had been eagerly awaiting my chance to see Annie Baker's the Antipodes for months. I got $30 the day they went on sale months ago for yesterday, May 13th at 2 PM. Around 100 minutes into the 115 minute play a fire alarm went off and we were evacuated. The rest of the performance was cancelled. After being on the phone for the entire morning with the box office I have been told there is no possible way to get me into a future performance without a cancellation. I have been refunded but I am really desperate to see the rest of the play. Unfortunately, work commitments make it impossible for me to attend weekday showings for the rest of the run but if anyone has an extra ticket for a remaining weekend performance (excluding memorial day weekend, June 3rd evening showing, and June 10th evening performance). I would forever be in your debt if you could help me out. I can't really afford to pay the full $90 price after the extension but I'd be willing to give the $30 I am receiving as part of my refund to anyone that has an extra ticket. I have always wanted to see an Annie Baker play and enjoyed the first 100 minutes so much. I just want to see the ending. Thank you very much if you could help.

So it's completely sold out for those performances and you're basically expecting someone to sell you a ticket they paid $90 for, for $30 because you don't want to have to pay $90, uh, I mean you can't afford the extra $60? How about offering $30 to someone who has seen it to spend 15 minutes with you to tell you how it ends?
1st of all I'm not expecting I'm asking. 2nd of all I'm hoping for goodwill from someone not everyone is as limited with their funds as I am. 3rd of all someone telling me what happens at the end of the play is not the same thing as seeing the end of the play (especially considering that there is probably no big reveal, it's not a plot driven play) and I'm pretty sure if I just wanted someone to "tell me what happened" I could get that for free.

I don't think the OP was expecting anything, merely asking, which is completely appropriate.
