Just looked it up on IMDb to see who else is in this. I'm amused that ERW's character is named Lucy, and two other characters are named Jude and Prudence. Heh.

I saw the film. Actually, I was privileged to be the first test audience EVER to see it. I say this in order to remind you that things may have changed since. I thought the film was gorgeous. That is it's strongest quality, it is just plain beautiful. I thought it needed about 20 minutes cut and some character clarifications, but we filled out surveys and they are still working on it, so we'll see.

Definitely go see it. And give it a chance. If they've fixed things, you'll love it. Like the Next Moulin Rouge but with more heart.

I'm sure this will make Midwest terribly angry with me, yet again but this movie wrapped a long while ago and has been in test screenings for some time now. It also features a host of familiar Broadway faces and marks the screen debut of Dana Fuchs(a former off Broadway "Janis) as a Joplin-esque character.

Some other Broadway people in the cast are Diedre Goodwin(sp), Yasmine Alers, Orfeh, Tracy nicole Chapman in addition to those previously mentioned and while I haven't seen the film (dying to), I've heard they're all in the same scene.
