Is anyone going to see the concert tonight? I remember seeing it a few years ago at the museum of radio and television (now the Paley center). The plot can be a bit silly at times, but it contains two of my favorite Sondheim songs, both of which are heartbreaking.
I'd love to hear what anyone who gets a chance to see it has to say.

Is this the concert where the cheapest seats are $750?
Ohh, I didn't know it was a gala/fundraiser! According to playbill.com, the cheapest tickets are $275 which is pretty steep.
Oh well. Any super rich people on here going?
The DVD of the original television production shipped from Amazon today! Woo hoo!

The dvd is incredible! Anthony Perkins is so appealing, and Charmian Carr so fragile. What a pity that no color prints survived, although the b&w version is appropriately spooky. Watched this twice last night, and have "Take Me to the World" running through my head.

Can't stop thinking about it - or get it out of my head -- what a find:))
I watched the first half but then wanted to check out the features so I listened to most of Charmian Carr's intereview. What an amazing release. Did anyone else catch the mention that this is a test to see how TV musicals will sell on DVD? I'm curious what else E1 has access to...
Evening Primrose was originally in color? I don't think I knew that. I like the B&W.

The cheapest seats may have been 750, but it most definitely was on TDF, for most of the week prior. I really regret not going! I did order the dvd though am very excited to see it in any form.
