Everyday Rapture CD?

Out of curiosity, is there any word that Sh-K-Boom will release a recording of "Everyday Rapture" ?

How often do limited runs get cds? I'm not mocking you - I'm genuinely curious.

There's been some talk of the show transferring to Off-Broadway or Broadway (someone said the Helen Hayes is being eyed). I'd imagine they'd wait until they had that finalized before moving forward with a cd.

Well Roundabout records some of its shows, which are limited runs.

I would give this show better odds as opposed to most, because of a) the rumors or a possible transfer and b) Sherie's connection to Sh-K-Boom.

Seeing as Sherie is a founder of Sh-K-Boom, I don't see why not. I would love a cast recording of this show, if only for "Up the Ladder to the Roof"

I'm surprised they haven't already. It has an excellent score and Sherie is incredible! Also Sherie founded a recording company... Seems odd she hasn't pounced on this.

There would be a market for this CD. Anything that woman is on sells like hot cakes. I loved "Up the Ladder to the Roof", "Why", and "Get Happy." She's just such a powerhouse.

There might be recording/ rights issues with some of the songs she uses.

I would love a recording...but I think adamgreer might be correct-but I would rather think that they are not recording because they are waiting till they transfer.

How would there be issues? People record renditions of these contemporary songs everyday.

But everyday there are hundreds of songs NOT recorded because the rights were unavailable or too expensive. I want her to do a cast album too, but the money OCR's make might not be enough incentive to lay down the hundreds of thousands of dollars it might (this is all conjecture) cost to make the CD.
