Hello!
Planning to see Evita in August, and was looking at the limited view seats on the left side of the theatre, in the second row. How are they? Is a lot of the action missed because of them being limited view? Thanks for any info in advance!!
I saw Evita, but with full view seating. My only experience with limited view seating was when I won the Wicked lottery in Atlanta. My seat was far on the right. It was quite annoying, because I could only see half of the stage. Luckily, I had seen Wicked before, because the seats caused me to miss some cool set pieces and effects. That was at the Fox Theatre, which is a heck of a lot bigger than any Broadway Theatre, so maybe limited view seating for Evita wouldn't be a problem. However, the set for Evita is really something special; it would be a shame to miss any of it! So, I would go for full view seating (even if that means you have to sit in the balcony)
Hm. I haven't sat in partial views in the Marquis, but my guess is that you'll miss the stuff on the left balcony if you're sitting in partial views on the left. It seems like most of the balcony stuff is on the center one or the right one, but I do remember that most of "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" and the little scene before that is over the on the left, so you'd probably miss that. I vaguely recall something in the second act being over there as well, but clearly it didn't make much of an impression.
I saw SISTER ACT partial view and I couldn't see have the stuff going on.
Partial view is wildly different from theater to theater, and even from show to show. "Partial view" at Once gives a better view of the show (as it is, for most intents and purposes, entirely unobstructed) than SRO at Newsies (which isn't even considered partial view as far as I know).
Other peoples' experiences with other shows in other theaters aren't actually relevant to this query.

As others have said, you'll miss everything on the stage right balcony. "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" is sung from the staircase on that side, so you'll probably miss that, as well. I feel like most of the entrances were from stage right as well, so people will be popping up from nowhere.
I saw the show from partial view seats on the right side of the house, and don't really feel like I missed anything of dire importance... if that is an option at all, I'd recommend that. All that said, however, the most important stuff happen in the center of the stage.
timote316, can you see all of "Good Night and Thank You" from the orch right partial views?

No, unfortunately not. You see enough to get an idea of what's going on, but that's about it (at least where I sat... maybe 7-8 rows back, on the outside aisle).
