The movie Is set to be released on March 8th, 2013.

When I saw Evita in early May, I had the same problem. It really pissed me off. I complained to the house management after the show. Guess what they gave me as an apology? A free T-shirt. In my opinion, the house management should be fired and replaced with people who actually respect their patrons.

There's a fat White girl who is wildly uncool at the old school, but when she goes to the new school she is hot because she has more "junk in her trunk" than anyone else there. OMG Bridget? She was my favorite! I loved the part where she jumped and the whole stage shook. That was in the tour, I don't know if they still do that.

Jordan Catalano said that the WICKED movie will include a brand new score written by Randy Newman. I don't know if he was just being a schmuck or if this is true, but if it is true, I think a new score will definitley increase sales. I know I would definitley buy it.

^ Becuase, for one, you can't really name a big star that has been in LION KING. WICKED, however, has had Kristin Chenoweth, Joel Grey, Etc.....

That is a fun fact, and one I'm sure nobody had ever heard before! Except it's from the second book, Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, not the original, and probably closer to 30 or so lines, but who's counting. :P I found that aspect annoying, but of course several adaptations of Alice have used the Jabberwocky before to try to impose some sort of dramatic tension. Fun fact about Alice in Wonderland (The Johnny Depp one), the entire movie is based off of 1 poem from the original book. The big beast is the Jabberwocky, and the entire movie is about finding that beast. The entire 10-or-so line poem is about hunting the Jabberwocky. In one part of the movie, Johnny Depp is actually reciting part of the poem. I know its irrelevant to this thread, but some people brought up Alice in Wonderland, so I thought I'd throw this in.

I disagree with those who say it should be animated. This musical delivers such a strong, empowering message, in my opinion it would be more succesful done by live human beings.

DickDeadEye - Personally I always cringe when I hear they are making a movie out of a Broadway hit musical. Really? I always love to see how a live stage show is adapted and transformed for film. I am especially excited for the WICKED movie being released in 2014.
