I believe it was just black with a picture of Eva peron in the middle. It looked better.

Are there any pics of the show curtain? I think I saw one, but I don't remember any floating heads.

in its favour, at least its not just a wobbling, grainy gobo of the show title projected from the front of the balcony..... Updated On: 8/26/12 at 06:27 PM

Intermission is just a black curtain. It looks much better.

i don't know why they don't just use the black curtain at the top - much classier. the picture doesn't actually show how naff it is, in the theater itself it looks worse.

Yeah I preferred the show curtain in London; wasn't too big a fan of the cut-put heads on Broadway.

Something I also miss from London at the start of the show is the fact the announcement of Eva's death is the first thing the audience hears from the theatre's sound system, which made the experience almost metatheatrical in that the real audience becomes what used to be the staged audience in the cinema scene in the original production. We were just plunged straight into the story without any prior warning. The bilingual pre-show announcements at the Marquis reminding all the patrons to switch off their phones and not take pictures of Ricky Martin ruins that effect, sadly.
