I have an extra ticket (possibly 3 extra...checking...) to the Broadway Opening Night of THE PITMEN PAINTERS.
Must wear formal attire. Must be able to make it to the theatre no later than 6:35pm.
Respond or PM if interested.

Okay, does "formal" mean tie and jacket? Usually "black tie" indicates Tux.
I'm going and I was told DRESSY, whatever that means.

Doesn't need to be black tie, but definitely suits for men and dresses for women. No jeans.

I'm asking this because I'm not home right now and I'm not sure what condition my tux is in. I haven't worn it in a while and it might be mildewy after the summer's heat.

Okay, count me in. 6:45.

Thanks, Hook. I'm looking forward to this!
I wish I could!
Dressy means look nice but no need to go as far as black tie. I probably wouldn't wear jeans, personally, but men can probably get away with it, unless something explicitly says no.

I would love to come, but tomorrow is the opening of my NYMF show. You seem to have extra tickets alot, Cap'n. Next time I would love to join.

lightguy, be glad you had other commitments. Captain Hook sent me a PM a few minutes ago that the tickets were no longer available. I'd turned down a subbing job today so I could make train connections and be in town early enough for the 6:45 curtain. I'm not a happy camper right now.
Oh shut up, Dolly. Lights out at the home is at 7pm so you never be able to see te show anyway.
And if you have questions about the dress code, check Play by Plays website for a definition for "dressy" since that's where you got them.

Did you just tell me to shut up, Jordan?
Sorry to make you unhappy, Dollypop. In the first place, I did not see your response until this morning. Secondly, what could I do? As I stated in the PM, my boss took back his tickets.

I shouldn't have doubted you, Hook. I felt you had just "blown me off" but you've been posting here tonight at times when you would have been at the show.
I apologize.
Nope. I'm very much NOT at the theater right now.

Well, Hook, you posted that at 10:04. If the show sttarted promptly at 6:45, which is doubtful, you'd be home and eating Twinkies--or whatever your pleasure is.
If you look at my profile, I posted in two other threads: one at 8pm and again at 9:30pm.

I saw that and I apologize once again.

SNAP.
dont mess with the Broadway Legends!
Do I become a legend after being a star? Can I check my progress somehow??

No, you become a Legend only if you worship and adore Carol Channing.
Thank you very much!
