Before Fantasia left the show in February she said she wanted to stay on longer but because of the design of the show couldn't. And I wouldn't call her fair-weather as her absence from Broadway may have something to do with the lack of roles her people like her. Consider that Lachanze hasn't really been on Broadway since The Color Purple and Adriane Lenox since Chicago in 2007 (I could be wrong).

M Bennett, you are correct, but the Producers can petition for Mazzie in the Lead category, right? I think they will because they usually go with how they can get the most nods. I thought Yorke was completely one-note and Wolfe is stuck in a thankless, poorly written role. I liked Ziemba better than both of them, but again her part is a throw away. I wouldn't be surprised if Cordero is their only Acting nod. But the noms are always a crap-shoot. And Mazzie gets the last Female bow before cutie Zach. And it is the largest of the Female roles.
