Just wanted to add how much i loved this show :)

I was in the UK last month (i live in america) stopped by and saw it. Definetly awesome.

Are they plannign to release a CD from the london cast? anyone know?

We begged for the to consider doing a london cast recording but alas no joy.The show issnt like a super big show(wicked) so with one cast recording out there they prob think thats enough(even though the arrangments for the uk version are so much better)

Curiously, i wonder how many CDs one has to sell to make a cast recording worth it

When the idea of a London cast recording was being discissed a figure of £40,000 Sterling, was mentioned. Add to this the costs of cast and band payments and lets say you get a figure nearer £60,000.

In very simplistic math form you would need to sell 4,000 CD's at £15 per unit for the return of your initial investment. Thereafter you would go into profit albeit affected by ongoing royalty payments.

There was a will and a determination on some prople's part to make this happen but it was rejected.

Agree with WEA1 that the arrangments for the London production are superb and far superior to the Broadway version and the singing is great too.

Saw it for the 4th time tonight - still an amazing show! Well done WEA1!
Jane and Gavin (I think!?) were on for Ariel and Ren and both were aboslutely superb - wouldn't know they weren't the real thing if I didn't hadn't seen it before! The dancing, singing etc. impressive as ever - THIS SHOW DOES NOT DESERVE TO CLOSE IN LONDON!

...at least bring it back to Wimbledon in 2007!

Wow those clips from youtube.com are really good!! I wish I could've gone to see Footloose in the West End. Wow again! It's really that great!!! Too bad it has too close early. Good job to all who had a part in it, including west end artist1!! Superb job!!!!

I havent been able to see the west end version but saw the 1st UK tour, and dont remember the bbq part that i just saw on Utube was that written for the London Production? or am i just being totaly dopey??

they should make a dvd! this musical is so great.

people do sneak recorders and camcorders and cameras and god knows whatever else in as yourtube shows lol.

I personally am gutted that they wouldnt do a uk london cast cd. I still dont think the show should shut - everyone I know who has seen the show loves it. I have not heard many bad reviews. I say y change a good thing - y cant we just have a break lol.

No, no shock and suprise you agree w/me.

Was just at official footloose site, and the 2007 UK Tour has been announced. Check it out.
My avatar pic is def not of Michael Ball!! LOL It's the lovely John Partridge. Was in Cats London and Germany for many yrs, did the European tour of Rent(1999) in Germany as Roger, and so many other shows. Just finished UK Tour of Miss Saigon in June. So do you know him? You or your mates?...... which I never doubted you had.
