I'm giggling at how many unsuspecting non-English speaking tourists are gonna grab tickets at TKTS for the wrong productions.
Fortunately, I think either way, they'll be in for a treat!
I'm just thrilled to finally have a chance to see Hunter live.

You know Hunter will eventually replace Roger Bart, again!!!!!!!
You know Hunter wanted the part originally!!!!!
Just like Matthew Broderick was once involved.
As the show lasts for years, and it will,
they should replace the doctor with all the Leo Blooms.
re: Frankenstein Fosters! (Runs in the Family)#10
Posted: 8/17/07 at 2:37pmthis is NOT the FRANKENSTEIN that workshopped recently with Ron Boehmer as the monster, and a design team with Cirque experience, is it? because that was a dreadful "wants to be LES MIZ meets JEKYLL & HYDE" dated-sounding score.

re: Frankenstein Fosters! (Runs in the Family)#14
Posted: 8/17/07 at 5:08pmOK, is it just me or does this make sense? I always find some connection between the two Fosters. They were both in Grease together at the same time and they were both in the original run of Les Miz. Then Sutton originated a role in a Tony nominated musical in 2002 (Mille) and Hunter originated a role in a Tony nominated musical in 2002 (Urinetown). Then Hunter was the lead in Little Shop at the Virginia Theatre (now the August Wilson) in 2004. After it closed, the next show at the Virginia was Little Women starring Sutton. And now the two are both doing musicals based on Frankenstein, Sutton's being the Mel Brooks version, which is funny since Hunter did The Producers for Mel. I just find it funny I guess.

They were also in a regional production of EVITA together in MA.
Wish I could see this. Is this the same one Shuler Hensley did or am I thinking of a different Frankenstein?

I am still SO happy about this.
Question for those who know Young Frankenstein- if Hunter eventually did replace Roger Bart, while Sutton was still in the cast, would they have to play any awkward scenes? I'm looking forward to Young Frankenstein, but don't know the plot well, and Sutton's character isn't Roger's character's romantic interest, is she?
re: Frankenstein Fosters! (Runs in the Family)#18
Posted: 8/18/07 at 5:22am^ Yes, she is. And yes, they would. lol.
re: Frankenstein Fosters! (Runs in the Family)#19
Posted: 8/18/07 at 6:23am^ Would Hunter actually be cast as Frankenstein if Sutton was still Inga, then?
I remember days
Or at least I try
But as years go by
They're sort of haze
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky

Posted: 8/18/07 at 9:38amWho knows. It is just ACTING. But then again, would he WANT to make out with his sister on stage? I don't think so. Unless he has a fetish for incest. lol.

Thank you, NathanLaneStalker, for the info.
re: Frankenstein Fosters! (Runs in the Family)#22
Posted: 8/18/07 at 12:11pmI totally agree that Hunter Foster should replace Roger Bart at some point, though probably after Sutton leaves would be better

No problem. He would be great in the show.
Random: I envy anyone who sees Gene Wilder at a performance. I wouldn't even be watching the show, I'd be watching him. lol.
