Every time I hear "Fable", or any other song from The Light in the Piazza, for that matter, I get chills. The music is so incredibly beautiful.

Priest, I thought you didn't like Piazza. Am I mistaken?

MEF, for some reason, when I first saw it in the theatre, it did leave me cold.

But I decided to give the Recording a try and have fallen in love with it.
One of the best, richest and most moving scores in years.

I guess my problems were with the book.

"One no longer loves one's insight enough once one communicates it."

The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

The book is definitely the weakest link in what is otherwise a rather extraordinary chain. I'm glad you gave it another try and discovered all of the score's magic and beauty. It really is a spellbinding and transfixing work.
