Faith Prince---Guys and Dolls--Off The Record video

I never got to see Guys and Dolls, but I just finished watching my copy (which I taped back when it was televised) of "Guys and Dolls: Off the Record" of the recording of the CD. Faith Prince (and the entire cast) were wonderful! In fact, it was my memory of that performance which made me have to buy tix and see her in A Catered Affair. I realize it won't be the same personality at all but just to see her perform will be enough I believe.
I wish they recorded all of the OBC recordings for airing on PBS (or sale). They did it for Showboat years ago also.
It's ALMOST as good as having the show itself on DVD.

Yes, I have the Producers recording session also. I agree with you re: Bushel and a Peck. Not just singing, but interacting. The taping is a very good way to preserve the performance.

Loved that. I also love, "Take Back Your Mink". What a fun revival that was.

I think the Company documentary is the best because you have the Elaine Stritch drama. Guys & Dolls and The Producers both look like a walk in the park. There's no tension, no mistakes, no drama.

I bet she wonderful in CATERED AFFAIR. I LOVED her in BELLS ARE RINGING. She was amazing.

Interesting how my post with those 2 links of the "Bushel and a Peck" numbers were deleted.

First the Mario Lopez in A CHORUS LINE posts, now this.
