Family Guy on Inside The Actors Studio

Hey guys,

I went to see the cast of Family Guy on Inside The Actors Studio today. Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, and Mike Henry were all there. Mila Kunis couldn't attend due to a movie that she was shooting at the time.

Seth spoke very fondly about musical theatre, and actually told us how he almost went to graduate school for musical theatre. He knew a whole lot about the subject, and it was funny because they went completely off topic and discussed musicals for a good bit of time. Not to mention, he has an amazing voice. Seth was telling us about how his dream is to do a complete parody of 'The Sound of Music', his favorite movie. R&H won't allow him to change any of the lyrics though, so that's a no go.

He also spoke of how every song in Family Guy is performed by a full orchestra, saying that he prefers that sound over something that's synthesized. He spoke a lot more about musicals and about his love of them.

The taping ran well over five hours. You won't see a good 75% of what was taped, but it was a lot of fun. Just thought you guys might like to know about it, and be sure to check it out when it airs!

It was really cool. One of the best Inside The Actors Studios that I've been to this year. Plus, I got a high five from Seth MacFarlane, which makes it ten times cooler.
