Fan mail question - Kinky Boots

So I am new to all of this but I would really like to start my Playbill collection as I really love musicals. Currently Brendon Urie is Charlie in Kinky Boots and I was wondering if it is a dumb idea for me to send him a letter and request a signed Playbill. Or, should I just send one to the stage manager and be happy with what I get? I'm well aware of making sure I send a self addressed stamp envelope. If anyone has an opinion please let me know, thank you!
