Well, this is it. Rick Lyon is leaving Q. (See the story linked at the top of the page.) I just had a feeling this was coming, and I hope this means he'll have the chance to pursue some creative projects of his own (and catch up on some sleep!). I'm sorry I'll never get to see him on stage now, and sorry I'll never get to meet him, but we can't always get what we want. I
Rick dearly, and I wish him nothing but the best.

Rick is the brains behind the Avenue Q puppets.
He will be missed. He is a very smart man and a very talented performer.
He is the best Trekkie Monster and a great interview.
You will be missed, Rick.

A very talented man, who deserves all the good stuff in his life.
I'm hoping that J-Tart is seriously considering openning the Vegas run, and that Rick joins him.

O M G!!!!!!!!!! RICK!!!
The heart and soul of puppetry! I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!!! I think I am to puking! (Christmas Eve) Seriously, when I read that I was shaking!
I never realized how much Rick Lyon meant to me until I read that. Its crazy....until something happens you don't realize how hard its gonna hit you!
*cries, cries, cries*
Good luck to him in whatever he chooses to do!

By the time I get to see this show, the whole original cast will be gone. Damn, I wish they'd get rid of the lottery.
Funny enough, I sat next to Jeff Somethingorother (the book-writer, I think and not the composer? Not sure.) at my recent visit to PIAZZA. He was telling me they now sell 45$ balcony seats. Has anyone gotten them and know if they're decent enough?
Thanks!

Posted: 6/7/05 at 11:31amBalcony seats have always been $45. They're fine. It's a very small theatre so any seat is good.

The front row is amazing. They actually see you.
At one point (the last time I was there, Jen smiled at me as if to say hi Corine)
They are the greatest cast on the planet.
I love them all!
