Well, I think. I'm so damned noncommittal. It's a beautiful role - so much depth, and meaning on such a plethora of levels... that was always what left me thinking most after the show.

Easily, Hedwig from HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH. The most complex, unique and yet wholly identifiable character I've ever encountered in a musical.

If they're not exactly my FAVORITE, they're DAMN important to musical theatre, and I feel that all of those roles are written perfectly and amazingly.

Sweeney Todd/Mrs. Lovitt - Sweeney Todd
The Emcee - Cabaret
Angel - Rent
Eponine - Les Miserables
Audrey 2 - Little Shop of Horrors

Come to think of it, a majority of those charactors, while they're not my favorites, are just important charactors that stand out to me.
