1) The Merm (hands down)
2) Betty Buckley (she was amazing)
3) Tyne Daly (not a great recording but I remember her on stage)
4) Angela Lansbury (wow)
5) Bette Midler (thought she was grand but it didn't transfer to the little screen so well)
6) Bernadette Peters (I just don't get it and I love Bernie)
If anyone can help me digitize the audiotape I have of Dolores Gray doing "Rose's Turn" (I believe no copyright infringement is involved), I will make copies available to all, and we can end this argument once and for all by declaring Dolores the best Madame Rose ever.

I have heard Dolores sing it, and she is indeed incredible (though she blew some lyrics if I remember correctly).
And if it's on cassette, I am happy to help, Joey.

and ljay, who is on your avatar?
Oh I think I have Delores Gray doing "Rose's Turn" on my ipod.
EDIT: I do have Gray doing the number in what sounds like a very large club venue and she is absolutely terrible on it. She must have been in bad voice that night because she can barely make it through the last verse of the song! Pal Joey you MUST have something else lol.

While I love the others, I'm partial to Lansbury's.
