You have 2 choices, They are:
1 Solo
and 1 done as a Duet.
I'm still thinking about my own choice, So many to chose from.
I think the best way to choose here are the ones that always seem to give you that special Buzz, A song and singer that touches you Heart Chakra.
Oh yes, Happy 2006 to you ALL!
"I Only Have Eyes for You" from 42nd Street does it for me. Makes me cry every time--such lyrics!
These are just off the top of my head:
"Your Eyes" from RENT solo and
"Say it Somehow" from The Light in the Piazza for duet
For the most recent shows I have to say "What About Love" from the Color Purple. POTO has a few that touch my heart.
Mine is "You should be loved" from Side Show.
solo: Your Eyes from RENT
duet: I'll Cover You from RENT also. I'm sorry. I love that show. Oh. Or As Long as You're Mine from Wicked
Solo:
"Unexpected Song" from Andrew Lloyd Webber's SONG AND DANCE
Duet:
"We Kiss in a Shadow/I Have Dreamed" from Rodgers and Hammerstein's THE KING AND I
I have a soft spot for the ones where the people profess not to be in Love
in a dramatic musical it gives the Lovers a place to go.
If I Loved You
People Will Say We're In Love
Love Look Away is a Beautiful Love Song
Falling in Love With Love
Gee I'm screwd up about Love (not a song, just a statement)
Solo---You're Eyes- RENT
Duet--I'll Cover You- RENT
As Long As You're Mine- Wicked
How about people expand their horizons and choose something that's not from RENT or WICKED?
renthead you rock!
hey. I like Rent. and Wicked. leave me alone. There are other shows that are awesome, I just happen to like those a lot, and I like those songs. It's not my fault other people agree with me.
:: Note to self ::
...resolution ~ don't get into any petty and useless debates with other BWW posters...

LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHING from ASPECTS OF LOVE.
Not only was it a beautiful love ballad but the song itself was the overture for the show! It also served as a fitting finale!
Say It Somehow from Light in the Piazza. And I also have a soft spot for Ana doing As Long As You're Mine.
