Since we've done song, moment, Kelli Costume, Matt Costume, set piece and now Florentine Painting projection, I thought I'd kickstart the obvious next thread:
What is your VERY favorite concession item sold at Light in the Piazza? I vote TWIZZLERS!

The two for $15 martinis in my special formula:
2 parts raspberry vodka (preferably Stoly)
1 part Chambord
lots of fresh sqeezed lime juice
seltzer
I only had them once there; they were very strong.

Posted: 7/31/05 at 1:42pmDo you prefer Stoli Raspberry? I am a big big big fan of Absolut Raspberry.

Is it natural raspberry? I only like the natural raspberry flavor.
I tried it with regular Smirnoff and it was so junk it gave me a headache.

I'll have you know I am a very silly drunk. And by two drinks a very sleepy one at that. (Except with Asti Spumante. Somehow that keeps me up and giddy. Must be the high sugar content.)
When I make those martinis at home I leave out the seltzer, pour them over crushed ice, and top it with raspberries.
I like the cute plastic martini glasses you can take home with you from Piazza.

I'm an energetic drunk. I go a bit mental when drunk (but in a lovable way, I'm like the most anti-violence person ever).
As for Absolut Raspberry, I don't know what flavour it is. It's a better vodka than Stoli so I assume it's natural. It tastes remarkably natural and what's more, it's not sweet or sickly. It's raspberry flavoured but not all sugary. This is a good thing, I don't want my drinks to taste like syrup.

I only like black Twizzlers, too.
I have found this great natural licorice at Whole Foods called Running Rabbit.
They make it in black cherry, too.

Yes, Twizzlers are at the poor end of the licorice scale. I enjoy all types of licorice. I LOVE Whole Foods. I must see if I can get my hands on some Running Rabbit.
Thanks for your advice.

It's so cute, it's in the shape of little rabbits.
They should sell it at Piazza; it'd be a big hit.

Threadjacked! Cats rule, dogs drool!
Piazza should allow cats in the audience and offer those little salmon crunchy kitty snacks in the consessions.
I wonder how much their tickets would be? Maybe free if they can sit on your lap.

I started this thread as a joke, reacting to all the goofy "Light in the Piazza" threads-- I was stunned to see it back on the main board today! I guess that's what I love about this place-- you never know what will strike a chord.
Personally, I love the Pasta Piazza-- it's just macaroni, served plain with no toppings, but the waiters all hover over you as you eat telling you it's the greatest meal you've ever eaten.
