Favorite score addition(s) (Disney Theatrical Adaptations)?

Hi, all. Over the past several days, I've been listening to the scores of the Broadway adaptations of Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and thought I'd come here and ask people what their favorite score addition(s) are for not only those shows, but also Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Newsies, and Tarzan as well.



I'll also share my own thoughts on the matter:

Favorite Beauty and the Beast score addition(s): Home and If I Can't Love Her (tie)

Favorite The Little Mermaid score addition(s): One Step Closer and If Only (tie)

Favorite The Hunchback of Notre Dame score addition(s): Rhythm of the Tambourine and In a Place of Miracles (tie)

Favorite Mary Poppins score addition(s): Practically Perfect and the new version of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (tie)

Favorite Aladdin score addition(s): A Million Miles Away and Proud of Your Boy (tie)

Favorite Newsies score addition(s): Something to Believe In and the new full version of Santa Fe (tie)

Favorite Tarzan score addition(s): Different and Waiting for This Moment (tie)

Little Mermaid: She's in Love

B&B: Home (very sad this song won't be in the film)

Hunchback: Top of the World (I think Someday is the best song from the show but it was originally written for the film)

The Lion King: One By One

Aladdin: These Palace Walls

Beauty and the Beast: A Change in Me



The Lion King: Endless Night



Mary Poppins: Anything Can Happen



Tarzan: Either Different or Everything That I Am.



The Little Mermaid: If Only (except for the "thin water" lyric.)



Newsies: Something to Believe In



Aladdin: A Million Miles Away



Hunchback of Notre Dame: Made of Stone

If I Can't Love Her from Beauty and the Beast is stunning.

I don't personally think songs like Human Again, Proud of Your Boy, High Adventure, Babkak>Omar>Aladdin>Kazim, Someday, and In a Place of Miracles count as being part of the original scores for the shows from which they come because, while they may have originally been written to be in the original versions of said scores, they were cut.



I also think yoy can legitimately consider any song that had lyrics rewritten between when it appeared in its original form and when it appeared in the stage adaptation of its respective show to be original to the score of that show in its theatrically adapted form (hence my secondary selections for Mary Poppins and Newsies).



BTW, I can't believe I forgot about The Lion King. My favorite score additions from it are He Lives in You and Shadowland.

Yes, as They Live in You. It still counts as an addition to TLK's original score, though.

My opinions aren't really "rules".
