Is everyone putting their favorite song from their absolute least favorite musical? I can't imagine that out of some of the crap that has been out over the years, that some people's least favorites include Rent, Miss Saigon, A Chorus Line, Guys and Dolls...and Fiddler??

Wow. I can only hope maybe some people haven't been influenced to some of the truly bad musicals.

I like most musicals I've personally seen to a certain degree, but if I had to rank a few at the bottom of the barrel:
"The Farmer and The Cowman" - Oklahoma
"Officer Krupke" - West Side Story
"Gliding" - Ragtime
"Joseph's Coat" - Joseph & The Amazing
"This is the Moment" - Jekyll & Hyde

It's quite hard picking a least favourite musical, as I can usually find something to like about most of 'em.

Let's go with 'Cats'. I always liked 'Mr Mistoffolees'. ^_^

Both not my least favorite musicals (i dont really have a least favorite) but defintiyl not shows that thrill me but the songs are great.

I'm amazed there aren't some suggestions from Lestat or some of the Vampire musicals.

My choice is probably The First Man You Remember from Aspects of Love or Hushabye Mountain from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Both were wretched shows. I'm going to see Black Rider tonight. I'm trying to go in with an open mind, but several friends have told me it's the worst thing they've ever seen. If it's as bad as they say, I might have a new choice for this thread later tonight.

And I guess I can understand not liking Sweeney Todd. But least favourite musical? That I don't get.

I hate Spamalot, but "Find Your Grail" is an okay song.

"Dance My Esmeralda" - NOTRE DAME DE PARIS. There is not much positive things I can say about this show, but this song & scene (the show's final scene) were wonderful. The ONLY good song & scene in the show...

I'm now back from The Black Rider and it is far and away the worst theater experience of my life. It's even worse than the production of Salome that was done entirely in slow motion. There was not one redeeming feature of it and it is a struggle to even think of a halfway decent song in it. I guess I would have to say the opening number. I believe it is titled "The Black Rider," but I can't be sure because the program has no song list. The cynic in me suspects that was intention, because if the audience saw how long it would take to reach intermission, even more people would have left in the middle of the first act.

for me. its "Her name was Lola" from Copacabana. literally, the worst musical I've ever seen, but that song is catchy (if thats even the song's name)

Once on this Island? Wow, that's not one I expect to hear as someone's least favorite...not that it's the best ever, but it's not the most popular show, and most people familliar with it really like it.
