Rum Tum Tugger from CATS. I also am very fond of the overture.
Once Upon A Time (from Brooklyn)
"Quiet Night at Home" from BARE.
The finale to the CATS movie because it was OVER
i love how there's already Cats comments.. i personally love it for the record. It wasn't at one point the longest running musical for no reason...
anyway, im thinking Tradition from Fiddler. because its so damn catchy :)
I love, love, LOVE "Cats."
Anyway.

I'm with "Rum Tum Tugger" from CATS. that Duteranamy(sp?) song has some crappy lyrics in it, in my opinion, but I strangly like it....I think its because when you hear it with a great cast, it makes it enjoyable.
*edited for spelling error
The lyrics from CATS weren't written by Webber...they were written by T.S. Eliot. Ever heard of him?

I have and actually have the book the show is based on. I wasnt saying anything negitive about ALW.
Btw, I respect your opinions about the show so please(I mean this in a nice way) respect mine.
I wasn't being mean, just bitchy with a wink.
I'll have to conform and go with "The Rum Tug Tugger" from CATS, as well. Probably because the first time I saw it, he was gorgeous, and oozed sex. ANYWAY, overshare. I like Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats, too.

Oh! Ok Munck! I hate that its hard to tell that stuff on line. I like your posts and didnt want to get a little feud between us!
"A Note From Linda" in The Wedding Singer.
eta: I'm not sure that I so much like the song, but I *loved* Felicia Finley's performance of it.

The Historians Introduction- Spamalot (Christian Borle was the best part of the show for me and this was the least obnoxious thing that had him in it.....actually, my favorite part of the entire show was when he sang "Another 100 people just contracted the plague!" because I love Company)
ShiPoopi- The Music Man (Like 5 minutes straight of me laughing trying to figure out what the hell I am watching)
Memory- Cats (This is such a beautiful song if sung well)
Raven- BKYLN (Ramona....why didn't you stay in Caroline? She kicked ass on this song)
In Buddys Eyes- Follies (Don't hate me. Yes I love Sondheim, no I do not like Follies, but I do love this song)

Miss Baltimore Crabs (Hairspray)
New Philosophy (YAGMCB)
It's a Fine, Fine Life (I think that's what it's called... from Oliver!)
Telephone Song (Miss Saigon)
all of the male songs from Wicked, and Popular
Macavity (Cats)
Think of Me (PotO)
Gimme the Balls (ACL)
All in all I really don't like "The Civil War" though I'd love to see a great production of it. Fav. song though has to be "The Honor of Your Name"
Cheers,
Christopher

Hmm, Cats is a favorite here obviously, so I pick the "Gumbie Song", nicely upbeat with a sort un-lloyd-webberish dance sequence in it.

My least favorite musical is The Wedding Singer and I can't think of a single song that I would consider a favorite. At least not in the first act. I escaped during the intermission
Tom14850, I'm having a little trouble getting back into the swing of things here at work, so I took the time to research how many times you've mentioned that you walked out of Wedding Singer at intermission. Seven times, in seven different posts, under seven topics. Why do you think this information is so important to us?

I hated Brooklyn, but I loved Cleavant Derricks, and he sang a hymn-like song that moved me deeply. His delivery was just gorgeous. Don't know the name.
