PLEASE,I NEED URGENTLY ANY MATERIAL ON THE SET DESIGNS FOR LAUTREC.I LIVE IN JAPAN,SO FOR ME IS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND ANYTHING ON THE SUBJECT.PLEASE,HELP ME !
THAN YOU SO MUCH

Since I played the very first Silent Hill game for the PlayStation almost a decade ago, I've had this real *thing* for urban decay. I directly blame Silent Hill for me loving Wilton's Music Hall so much. XD

So if a play can give me a set that looks like some kind of abandoned hospital, or asylum, or any sort of institutional building, all prime locations for Silent Hill-esque scariness, I'm a happy bunny indeed.



The colder, creepier, and more desolate-looking, the better.



Especially if acts of gore and violence are carried out within.



And dear sweet LORD what's not to love about the knife-wielding nurse-witches and the ghost-of-Banquo and swirling blood projections seen only by Macbeth and the audience, drawing us into how utterly his sanity has been wrecked by the acts of violence we have seen on this stage?



I may have seen The Tempest first, but this production of Macbeth - a play I'm not even *that* big on - is where the Rupert Goold love affair really started for me. :3

Animal Farm at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
It's more of the general production design that is fascinating here. Gritty and dark. Exactly what the story entails. It was a musos production and I unfortunately cannot post more than one image at a time so Broadwayworlders, prepare for many posts of just pictures by me! :)

Those of you who know me will have expected this one...
Tanz Der Vampire.
The detail is incomparable and it's all just generally breathtaking.

The gothic designs in the background are what really does it for me. Look at that detail!!!

Again with the detail, although I do believe the set is slightly different here from when I saw it in Berlin...

William Dudley's designs for Tanz der Vampire are very thrilling. I am so happy the show will be in Vienna again...hopefully it will be the fully staged original designs.

The Tanz der Vampir lighting is by Hugh Vanstone- very nice chap who just did Shrek! As far as I know, the Vienna revival should be exactly the same as the original.
