I'm not surprised that this is stalled over money. It's not like they're raking it in over at Legally Blonde.

Well, it's not done yet. According to that article, there's still a chance it can be "saved," so let's not all get excited just yet.

Could this even be considered stunt casting? Not much of a name. Do tweens dig K-Fed?

They need to close based on that casting attempt alone. YIKES!

re: Fed-Ex will NOT join Legally Blonde

Wow, I thought this thread was about a deal that fell through about a marketing partnership between Fed-Ex and Legally Blonde. That would be a smart partnership, IMO.

re: Fed-Ex will NOT join Legally Blonde

It is pretty horrible stunt-casting. I mean, the man has no credits to his name. He's a decent dancer, but does Warner really 'dance?' And I doubt K-Fed wants to take standard Equity pay, or even what the current Warner is getting paid. But, the producers realzied he's not exactly a star.

re: Fed-Ex will NOT join Legally Blonde

I have never heard him sing before, but i saw him perform in an awards show(forget what awards show it was but..) it wasn't good...like at all.

KFed would be great at playing a trashy husband, jamaican inspired rapper, and the UPS guy. The man is hilarious and can rap and dance well. Let's be honest, these roles don't require Emmett Forrest singing abilities. I think this would be one of Broadway's wiser stunt castings if it ever went through.

Too bad. I would've gone to witness the trainwreck the same weekend when I went to go see Nicole Richie in Chicago.

Sorry, but K-Fed is so NOT like "walking porn". And I don't want to hear that he has a package either.

Allison, I have to disagree. Andy has two sets of understudies - Jason Gillman and Matthew Risch understudy the UPS guy and Dewey and Nick Kenkel and ROd Harrelson understudy Grandmaster Chad. While they are enjoyable in the roles, they aren't half as engaging or captivating as Andy is. You need a certain something to do the roles. I don't think K-Fed could pull it off and since he would understudy Emmett (and probably Callahan), he would need to be able to sing. Imagine K-Fed in either of those roles and tlel me you don't shudder at the thought.

re: Fed-Ex will NOT join Legally Blonde

If this were to ever happen, they would have to hire an additional swing, or give someone else in the cast Andy Karl's understudy tracks, because there is no way K-Fed would cover Emmett or Callahan, the way Karl does.

I was confused too... I thought, "Of course they won't join since LB already has a product placement deal with UPS."

re: Fed-Ex will NOT join Legally Blonde

Yeah. I'm sure if KFed took over for Andy Karl (who I think is just fantastic), I am sure someone else would have to cover for Emmett/Callahan. I still don't have any feelings of objection towards him playing the three other roles. I think he could possibly be quite good. I can even see him as a Luke in Altar Boyz, or maybe I'm shooting too far. I guess it's just that whole rapper/dancer image. We'll see. I would love to see Ana Gasteyer play Paulette someday. She's a funny, funny lady. re: Fed-Ex will NOT join Legally Blonde
