Enough of the negative comments.....it's really boring by now.
The show is great. PERIOD.
As much as I love the show, I'm really surprised by this news. I'd love to see it be a success on the road, but I just don't see it happening.
My question is are they going to transform all those touring houses like they did the O'Neill into The Shrine? That's an intense tech recalibration for every house, and I'm not sure it would work for some of the bigger ones.
I see this as the producers way of increasing their chances of winning the Tony for Best Musical. The timing is a bit off.

Of course this is a way of increasing their chances. That's also why LA CAGE announced their national tour just days ago. Road Presenters are a huge voting block.
That said, I'm surprised to see it touring, and to hear markets are asking for it. I think it's a fantastic evening in the theatre, but a tough sell.
