It's an intriguing idea, to be sure :)

The thing is, the trend of making movies into musicals is getting ridiculous. There's been this falling out of actually taking risks and writing new shows - most things coming out these days are revivals or movies made into musicals. We need some good original writing!

I agree it could work and its a very intriguing idea but I'm one of those people who is very skeptical about any of the great 80s films being touched. (Ferris Beuller, AIB, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Back to the Future etc.) Plus the whole movie-to-musical thing is really getting a bit ridiculous but still...it could definitly work as a musical.
