I saw "Fiction" at Laura Pels Theatre, last night and enjoyed it very much. Did anyone else here see this play? It has a very interesting plot/story and unexpected surprise at the end. All 3 actors were excellent: Julie White, Emily Bergl and Tom Irwin. (Last Spring, I saw Emily Bergl at the Vineyard in a serious play called "Where Do We Live" It's a pleasure to see these young and obviously gifted actors discovering their talents and then reching out to the audiance in their own special way and affecting all of us profoundly. Oh, by the way, for those of you who are Idina's fans, there is a nice photo and article with her in the last Playbill I received.
I have not seen the show but it is coming to San Diego in Sept/Oct and I am looking forward to the production.
I loved the show myself and thought it was very cleverly written. It's a "smart" show and I suggest strongly that anyone interested check it out before is ends its run. I was particularly intriguing about the hypothesizing on why people keep journals (and I'll leave it lie at that as to not spoil anything). You can read an interview with Emily about her career and FICTION with the link below

Maybe it wasn't posted yesterday, but she can READ THE FUTURE!
OMG!
I guess Craig and I will work it out via PM as he suggested.
I saw FICTION in previews with a Playwriting group I was in and was pleasently surprised. I probably wouldn't have choosen it, so I was glad we went as a group. I didn't know much about the story either before I saw it but thought it was really smart and often very funny. I was crying like a baby at the end though!

Well, yesterday for me was last night before I went to bed. So maybe by the clock it was not really "yesterday" but it seemed like it!
just that you're always "in the know" as they used to say.

I have not seen this version but saw the premiere of the play last year at the McCarter theater in Princeton, NJ. That starred Laila Robins, Robert Cuccioli and Marianne Hagen. I thought it had terrific writing and acting. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Updated On: 9/1/04 at 02:35 PM
