Well, I hope Barbara Barrie is alright. I know she has had some health issues but was hoping this was a good indicator that she was well and back in action. Considering her relationship to the production team, I am sure she was not fired for being bad in the role.

This is HUGE. I mean Barrie was bad and she should have been replaced, but, now?!?! It's so late in the game!

Plus I can't believe her family.... maybe she wanted to leave?

At least they replaced her with someone of the calibre of Nancy Opel who is consistently excellent.

Henry Goodman is a different situation...

Barrie is the sister-in-law of one of the writers of Fiddler. Plus her son is at least an investor, if not an actual producer.

I didnt hear any good things about Barrie; a lot of people said she wasnt meant to play that role. What was she nominated for an Oscar for?

Best Supporting Actress: BREAKING AWAY (1979) and she was great!
