Film star of Band's Visit steps into Tewfiq

The star of the Band's Visit, Sasson Gabay, has just been announced to be joining the cast as Tewfiq starting on June 26.

Is anyone familiar with the actor - and have any guesses on his ability to sing the role?

Glad to hear it. We see it in September. I gave the score a couple of listens to familiarize myself with the music, but didn't attempt to follow a story or characters, so I wouldn't spoil stuff. Excited!

...and it doesn't take much to imagine any human feeling chemistry with Katrina Lenk.
