^ Hehehehe.
Btw, think they'll er...uglify Ms. Boggess for the role? Think she'll set aside her chance to showcase her lovely soprano on big screens around the world and adopt a nasty screechy gargle in order to do justice to the horrible whore hag she is supposed to be playing? Think they'll give her the giant pair of scissors the egregious crone famously wields at young maidens with beautiful locks of golden/dark hair that she accosts under the light of the red light district? Think they'll go for the current tour portrayal and make her an ordinary chick who, for whatever reason, really digs Fantine's hair enough to buy it? Will they remove the character's awesome quirks--which fit right in with the shady area Fantine finds herself in--and go for the ordinary and mundane? Will movie audiences recoil in horror as they watch that terrible hag cackle in delight at Fantine's misfortunes?
Given the current trend of inserting faux ingenuity by way of utter normalcy and "reality" through the shunning of all that is even mildly theatrical, regardless of whether or not it works in whatever medium its to be a part of, I doubt it.
Or they could turn the hair crone into something like a big lesbo whore who's hawt and sports ginormous knockers and sex appeal to match and seduces a desperate Fantine with misleading soprano into selling her hair and dignity--among other things--in the process.
I'd dig it.
