Final Gypsy Playbill
Final Gypsy Playbill#1
Posted: 12/22/08 at 2:52pmI had tickets to the March 1 show. Unfortunatly it is impossible for me to go on Jan 11. I'm very upset! Are the playbills for the final performance different or special in anyway? And if so how would I go about getting one? Went last Wed matinee for my 4th time. She has changed so many things, since I last saw it in June. Everything was wonderful. Patti seemed stonger (if that's possible) and in total command of everything on that stage.

Posted: 12/22/08 at 2:53pmI highly doubt they'll be any different than they normally are.
re: Final Gypsy Playbill#2
Posted: 12/22/08 at 3:02pmIt won't change for Gypsy, only for long running shows.

There have been three versions of the Playbill.
The first was the color Playbill with the blue dress and the Ravinia wig.
The second was a color Playbill with a red dress and the new wig.
The final one is the black and white version of the second one.
It won't change.

Posted: 12/22/08 at 3:38pmThey were back to color with the red dress for a performance I saw a few weeks ago. Maybe it'll stay that way.

Oh, that's great to hear!
The B&W ones looked like a photocopy.

Posted: 12/22/08 at 4:04pmThanks. I have the playbill that has the blue dress and two with the red dress. Just thought the cover might have something written on it indicating final show. I was fascinated with all the changes Patti made. How often does or should I say did she change things around? Is it ever on the spur of the moment or is everything planned ahead of time and rehearsed? Do you think they are her ideas? I feel like seeing it again.

Posted: 12/22/08 at 4:44pmYeah I think they went back to color for the holidays because I went right before Thanksgiving and they were back to color. Nice to see too. B&W just looks so cheap. I understand they're saving money, but still, ha.

Posted: 12/22/08 at 4:50pmIf there was any special edition playbill, it would be on playbillstore.com but I doubt it for this show. Best bet is to write the SM and ask for a playbill. Doesn't hurt to mention you had tix for March 1, it should tug at the heartstrings.
