This is really old news. Read up on it.
It's a DisneyWorld theme park show, not a real Broadway show..although it might as well be, because it's 1,000,000 times better than TARZAN.

Posted: 3/18/07 at 12:52amAh I see. Thanks NathanLaneStalker. I just didn't know and didn't really think about it being a Disney Theme park show. I just knew it wasn't on Broadway and never had been. I didn't know. Don't mind this thread then.

Fun fact... One if the actresses that plays Dory, Lexy Fridell, is the daughter of Squire Fridell who played Ronald McDonald on telivision throughout the 1980's. His signature move was making the golden M appear at the end of his commercials...
so there you go...

Posted: 3/18/07 at 10:03amMost of the songs are really short since this is a theme park show and not a stage show. I don't think TRT is even 30 minutes.

Posted: 3/18/07 at 10:21amThe show is at least 45 minutes. It's a good representation of the plot and is probably one of the best shows throughout Disney World. You can tell that they actually spent time on this one.

Agree, Brdwy !! We FINALLY got to see it during our last
WDW trip (the other times show was cancelled for tech problems) and its a VERY good show !! Liked it FAR better than the "LK" show at Disney.
Wondering sets and costumes, and the music is excellent !!

The show lasts a little more than 30 minutes. The recording features the complete show and includes some very good songs.
The music and lyrics were written by Robert Lopez (Co-composer on Avenue Q) and his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez. They both perform the parts of Dory and Marlin on the recording.
And it's recorded with 70-something piece orchestra.
