Oh, kreichelt and Back Row, you're so right! Thayne was masterful. Dancewise, I especially loved his shifting between four-legged and two-legged during Believe, and humorwise, I loved the moment when he tossed a stuffed toy to Mary-Mitchell in the pit. You're right, he was an enormous part of the charm.

I've always wondered why they changed to a canine dog on Bway. Was it because Thayne was doing Ham and nobody else could do it quite like him? Or is that theory too single-actor focused?

You must not be familiar with the price of two Berloni dogs.

It was an artistic choice.

Jonathan Ritter posted a goodbye video. It's 23 minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHE-5bnRy24

So did anyone here go to the final performance this afternoon? How was it if so? Again, I'm really sad I never got a chance to see this on Broadway, and still might see the touring production when it comes to Baltimore next year.

I was there. It was an amazing afternoon - packed house with standing room, huge applause for everything and everyone. I met a number of people who were there for the first time but many other repeat viewers. It was a very emotional and highly energetic afternoon. They had the three remaining boys from the original Broadway cast - Alex Dreier, Jackson Demott Hill, and Chris Richards playing Peter, George & Jack in the show today - along with newbie Jack McCarthy as Michael, but all three Peter leads (Alex, Chris, & Eli Tokash) got a chance to go at least once this weekend as Peter. All 6 boys in the cast (Including Christian Camporin) were in the finale and took a finale bow.

Laura Michelle and Diane Paulus made speeches at the end. A lovely send-off.

I looked at the video.  It was sweet and very moving.  I don't recall any departing show making such a video with some length.  I thought Ryan Worsing was adorable.  This guy does not age!   Colin Cunliffe was so dreamy (shirtless) with his 1970s style pornstache (meant that in a nice way).  The only one who I didn't care for was the cast member who thought it was cute to use a double middle finger gesture.  The music was lovely.  "Happy Trails" has been used in some shows to say goodbye to cast members.

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Just posted on YouTube: The curtain call at the final performance of ''Finding Neverland,'' with Laura Michelle Kelly and Diane Paulus.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZVlyYg2wqk

I don't know if they were in town or not, but I was secretly hoping that Matthew Morrison, Kelsey Grammer and, yes, Harvey Weinstein would join that final curtain call, too.

So the national tour kicks off in October in Buffalo, and I imagine the rehearsals will begin in September. Any word on who'll be playing J.M. Barrie or any of the other principals?

I think that they had a party last night. Mia Michaels posted a couple of photos on her instagram.

Matthew was there, he had a concert in Kentucky on Saturday night so he might not have arrived  in New York in time for that last 3pm show.

The company had a party, but it was not a Company Party.

Ummm...OK.

Harvey was there..I saw him. I don't think we needed to see him on stage at the curtain call. Obviously he agreed.

I think someone asked in this thread (or another one??)....about the tour. The official website is up with listings for both the tour and the London version - including dates and theaters for the tour. But no cast lists are noted yet.
