Finding Neverland for Kids & TDF Seating

I would think 7 might be a bit young for this show. Are you familiar with the movie? While the musical is more cheerful and family-friendly than the movie, the themes are still the same. It deals with death, and despite the big, happy production numbers I thought it was quite sad. Beautiful, but sad. At least in my book it's not the same type show as Aladdin or Lion King.

I would chose Matilda for those ages I think.

I took a five year old to see the show and she really enjoyed it. The pirates and the young kids on stage were the parts she said she liked best. We listened to the music for a couple of months leading up the show to get her prepared for it. That being said, I don't think it's geared towards young children like the Disney shows tend to be. Not sure if this answer was helpful? All in all, the 5 year old liked it (as did the adults!)

Was Row P ORCH two nights ago on TDF. It was great because you're close enough but still able to take in the whole show, as there are times where there is a lot happening on stage.

Inewally like this show a lot.

Maybe the sadness goes over their head when they are that young. I'm almost 30 and I cried at the end both times I saw it :p

I don't think kids always get the sadness part either.. If they saw Lion King and enjoyed it, there is memorable death in there as well...so that shouldn't keep you away.

But yes making sure they know it's not "Peter Pan" is important. It's the story about how the writer came up with the idea - with some Peter Pan elements of course. We see Tinkerbell, pirates & indians, the boys, Nana the dog, Captain Hook, etc. that show up sporadically in a bigger story.

And I find listening to the music with kids before hand is a huge help with whatever show you see.
