So apparently, nobody from You Can't Take It With You will be up for leading role.
What's up with It's Only a Play? I thought it was an original work.
It's Only Been Around for Over Thirty Years!
It just seems like an original play because they took the original script and turned it into a Mad-Lib for modern theatre references/
While there are a number of names above the title for You Can't Take It With You, nearly every press release bills it as "Starring James Earl Jones" or "This Pulitzer Prize-winning, uproarious family affair is >LED< by the legendary James Earl Jones." Is it "normal" for a "starring" role to be featured and not lead?
^ While not common, I remember them doing the same for Angela Lansbury in Blithe Spirit.
