First Date Rush

Hey, there hasn't been a recent post about this, and I was wondering:
1) Would it be better to see the show on closing day or the day before closing?
2) Although I have been checking the rush report, I was wondering what a good time to get on line this weekend would be, considering it's the last few performances?
3) Where are the rush seats? There was a thread earlier in the year that had people mostly sitting at the site orch and mezz but it was partial view. If I were to get a seat with that post that blocked me from seeing things, would I be able to ask the ushers if I could switch seats before the show started?

1. Better in what way? Fewer people? Better show?
2. It will be packed, I would think you'd need to be there EARLY.
3. Can't help as to where the seats are, but if the shows aren't sold out, you can always ASK, but they may not help you out.

Courtney, in some theaters, seats on the far side of the Orchestra, boxes and mezz are considered partial view not because there is a post directly in front of them but because due to the viewing angle to the stage from seats that far to the side, the far right portion of the stage may not be visible if you are sitting on the far right and the far left portion may not be visible if you are sitting on the far left. The show is typically staged so that as little of it occurs in those "blind spots" as possible, usually a few minutes at most. You can ask the usher if you want but especially on a closing weekend, don't expect much sympathy from them that a bit of your view is obstructed when they know that's what you knowingly and willingly agreed to when you bought the ticket so you could get a rock bottom price.

Sorry I didn't specify. I meant, would there be a chance they would switch out a few lines and take a risk saying something else if I went the last day?
Also I was hoping to get a windowcard, do you think they would still have it?
And do you think getting in line at 8:30 would be a little too late to be near the front of the line
considering it's closing weekend?

As of last weekend they were already sold out of windowcards

There doesn't look to be much availability for the last show on Sunday so if you really do want to see it you'd be better purchasing the tickets in advance. (It's well worth the money!)

Not necessarily. Sometimes there are goodbye speeches -- but that more often happens with longer running shows. (ie. Big Fish didn't have any.)
