Republicans enjoy theatre, too, you know!
Christine Ebersole is a class act all the way, and there is no chance that she is going to direct anything at Laura Bush. That would be unprofessional and disrepectful, and she would never be either.

LMFAO, I totally thought it said "First Lady at Bush Gardens" as well....
and even though I've seen the show it took me a minute to realize why there would be any problem.
I'm a winner tonight.

Posted: 5/29/07 at 11:40pmShould we be discussing the First Lady's Bush?
#15re: First Lady Bush at Grey Gardens
Posted: 5/30/07 at 12:28amOf course she has a sense of humor, look who she is married to.
#16re: First Lady Bush at Grey Gardens
Posted: 5/30/07 at 12:46amI remember reading an article once in which Laura Bush said, "I'm Republican by marriage." I couldn't hate her after that.

I don't know Miss Pennywise. I'd have a lot more respect for her if she'd kept her own political affiliation rather than changing because of marriage. That's kind of lame. IMHO. Nothing wrong with a "mixed marriage" you know.

"Should we be discussing the First Lady's Bush?"
The First Lady's Bush and the First Lady's husband have two things in common: Low approval ratings.
God, that was a dumb joke.

So, what happened?
Did she storm out?
Throw things at Christine and Mary Louise?
Pose for pictures backstage?
I want drama! And answers!

Granted, she's married to the man, but she's not her husband.
I don't think the statement "Republican by marriage" means that she crossed over. We've seen her disagree with her idiot husband plenty of times to know she's a class act.

Still, her reaction to "it's a mean Republican town..." would be (yawn) priceless.
I was more interested in her response to WICKED, which has a character who employs her husband's MO: the Wizard.
