ADAM LAMBERT! He was one of the tour understudies, and I saw his 1st of 2 performances as Fiyero while he was in the company. Fan-friggin-tastic. He was so great.
Am I the ONLY person who really liked Derrick Williams? Sure he didn't have the vocal pyrotechnics of Norbie, but I thought he did a damn fine job, especially with his acting. For once, I actually felt like the Elphie/Fiyero relationship grew a little, instead of coming out of nowhere.
Kris Cusick seems promising. Joey Mc was TERRIBLE.

Duck- I love Derrick Williams, he is my favorite by far!! And I caught Adam Lambert once on tour too, he was good. But Derrick was the first time (for me) where I felt like Fiyero was actually a real character, like I could see why these two different women would want him.
(Never got to see Norbert in the role.)

Posted: 11/5/05 at 1:35pmI've seen Joey, David, and Kristoffer when he was still an understudy. Personally Joey was my favorite, followed by Kristoffer. Though David has the look, I do not like his voice.

HOW STUPID AND CORNY.
You're an ass. You're comments are not wanted. Learn self control. Judging by your comment I'm going to go ahead and guess 8th grade.

Fiyero's just not that compelling a character in the musical (as opposed to the novel, where I adored him). He's too... Disney prince-esque? I'm excited to see Derrick Williams on the tour, though... from what I've heard, he better fits my impression of what Fiyero should be like.
I love Norbert, and he certainly sings the part amazingly, but Fiyero just wasn't a good role for him...it's not a GREAT role for anyone.

Posted: 11/5/05 at 5:26pmthanks for all of the comments everyone, i've been reading them all. by any chance has anyone seen Nicholas Dromard as Fiyero? He's in the swing and an understudy for Fiyero. I absolutely loved him when i saw him in Mamma Mia! on the tour in Boston, just wondering if anyone saw him and how he was in the role, thanks!

Posted: 11/5/05 at 5:40pmI loved Derrick. His voice was great( maybe a little too much riffing in DTL), and so was his dancing. I thought his comedic timing was spot on. He was so effing funny, and he was sexy as hell. Woo. He and Eden had such amazing chemistry. ALAYM was hot. They were ALL OVER EACH OTHER. He made Fiyero an actual person that you could relate to. He added a lot of layers to the character. As much as I love Norby, Derrick is probably my favorite Fiyero.
