Flowers for performer

Ginna Claire Mason is leaving Wicked on the 29th. She and her friend Mary Kate Morrissey made my girlfriend big fans of the show. We were suppose to see her perform on Broadway the last weekend of March 2020, but the pandemic stopped us. We are now trying to move heaven and earth to get there next weekend.

Under normal circumstances, we would bring flowers or something to give at stage door. Does anyone know the policies or practices of giving flowers to a performer post-pandemic? Can I give them to an usher? Do I have to walk up and toss them on stage? I don’t really want to interrupt the curtain call, but if everyone else is doing it I can do it. Thanks for any feedback.

Leaving them at the stage door with the door monitor is always the best thing to do. Throwing flowers on stage is never a good idea. It's disruptive, and just because others do it, doesn't make it the best thing to do.

I wonder if you could have flowers delivered to the theater before the performance. That way they could enjoy them in the dressing room.

Thanks. I think that is what we will do. I assume I can ignore the old superstition about giving flowers before the show, it would be just so much easier to do it prior to the show. Thanks again. Btw-I love your hat.
