I was at Playwright Horizons the other day seeing "Our House" (which sucked, bad), and I noticed they recorded a CD for "Floyd and Clea...." but I can't find any information online about it. Amazon doesn't even have it on their site. Anyone know where I can get it, and also, what's it like? I've read reviews that it's more of a "play with music," but what's the show like, and what's the music like? Anyone have the CD? Is it any good?

Western Sky. You can listen to some of the music at David Cale's MySpace (myspace.com/davidcale) to go along with the snippets that are still on the Playwrights Horizons site, although for my money Mary Faber's "Would you Give a Damn?" would be worth the price of the cd alone.

It's a very pretty score. The show was good as I recall (I think it was late 06 that it was around). A simple little show about kindred spirits - two depressed singers in the traditional will they/won't they love story. Cale and Faber were very good.
Cale said they would be recording an album in his basement studio (or something like that). Figured he was kidding. Then I saw it on the stands at PH. I imagine it's for regional performances. I figure I'm one of 5 who've bought it.
