Thak you for pointing out the error. I've corrected it.
Great article! The lady has class.
There's also a fantastic series of interviews with her on YouTube discussing her career.

There was quite a bit of our conversation that I didn't use in the article. Florence and I could have chatted for another hour or so.
Purely by happenstance, she and I were seated across the aisle from each other at Friday night's FANNY. She greeted me so warmly that you would have thought we were friends from 'way back when. We also had a good time backstage after the performance. She's a very lovely lady.

I would love to see her as Dolly Levi.
She's enough of a name.
Her performance in "Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire" was amazing, too. She should have received an Oscar nod.

I mentioned this to Florence and she seemed to like the idea. (I refer to it at the end of the article.) Now I'll mention it to Jerry Herman--who owes me a phone call.
A greatly underused (on Broadway) talent.
But was she using her Poligrip when she talked to you?

Jordan, if you read my article, you would have realized that the product was PoliDENT and Florence stipulated that she would never have to say in a commercial that she used it because she DIDN'T. She told me that she still has her own teeth.
LOL. I hadn't had a chance to read the article yet but I do want to.
Glad she still has her own teeth! :)

Okay, Jordan. You're forgiven this time. Just don't let it happen again.

Just so long as we understand each other.

Hmmmm.... she would have made an interesting Norma Desmond I'll bet.

I think she's make a terrific Dolly. She's got everything the character needs--including an Irish heritage.
You know what? She would make a good Dolly!

Is anyone here going to her show at Joe's Pub this weekend?
Can anyone see her as Morticia?
I think it would be wild.
I would love to see her, Betty White and Cloris Leachman in a vehicle. All bawdy, very funny, ladies when given the chance.

I met her once. She was very nice and very funny. Not sure she really acts, though.
