I think it's due to the fact that Jackson looks much older than the rest of the cast. He may not be much older in reality, but he has a very mature look about him (Jackson). Porter is a better fit as far as type goes.

aww thank you al dente!! you've definately put a smile on my face tonight! :) i'm pretty choosy about what shows i become a fan of because i just can't keep up with less deserving shows! lol

about Cheyenne, he actually said somewhere on an ASU interview that even he thought Scott was better for the part though he workshopped the character.

As much as I liked Cheyenne in the NYMF run of this show (and his voice was truly beautiful on Matthew's numbers) he was so clearly the most out of place, by sheer size if nothing else. He towered over everyone else and it made a lot of those intricate dance steps seem sort of lumbering because of his height.

He was a man amongst boys in that group (which isn't a dis to the rest, just that it was sort of like one of those "what does not fit" pictures").

i just got an answer:

I can answer that - when the photo shoot for the NYMF happened, Tyler was out of town and the the timing wouldn't work to wait until he returned to take the photo. So, as sometimes happens in situations like that, a "stand-in" was used for the photo. Definitely not Tyler, but vaguely in the same physical world so as not to cause too much confusion. If anybody saw the photo used to advertise the workshop of Harmony several months back, the same thing happened - one of the 6 main guys wasn't available for the photo, so a stand-in was used.

Of course, if the photos had been for more than a short festival run, it wouldn't have happened that way.

I was not at the photo shoot, so I can't tell you the name of the stand-in.

Hope that clears things up at least a little bit!
