For anyone who saw Drowsy Chaperone in LA

Posted: 8/1/06 at 2:37pmI saw the show in NY in may and loved every second of it especially the morosco reference. I was wondering if that was the same theatre used in the L.A. run of the show?

Posted: 8/1/06 at 2:41pmI'm guessing they stuck that line in once they found out the show was going to the Marriott Marquis. It wouldn't have worked anywhere else...

Morosco was a real NYC theatre. It was just a joke about the Marriot.

sorry i'll rephrase the question. Man in Chair states "The Drowsy Chaperone" opened at the Morosco Theatre (When i saw it NY that's what he said). What I was wondering while it was playing in LA did they say the Morosco theatre?

Posted: 8/2/06 at 2:28amThere was no reference to any specific theatre during the Los Angeles run of the show. Loved the joke about the Morosco that they inserted for New York.

Posted: 8/2/06 at 9:18amI love after he says Morosco, he talks about hotels taking the space of theatres. I saw the show in previews and at this time he made a joke about Lestat too. I lvoed the joke because I saw it that afternoon.

Posted: 8/2/06 at 9:59amWas the joke about Lestat? Or about Elton John? The Elton John line has been in there from the beginning and does not refer specifically to Lestat.
