You need to skip through Rosie O'Donnell's initial singing, but it's worth it.

Every time I hear that song, I love it even more!
And Rosie wasn't that bad in her bit, either. Could have been much worse. I still love her.

OMG
That was amazing...
Is her face made out of rubber???
Her voice is golden, but it look like she is giving birth to a child when she hits the money note...

Posted: 2/12/06 at 1:51amNo Beyonce can't do that. Thankfully she plays a different role. Jennifer Hudson is Effie in the Dreamgirls film.

The only thing I want to know is the entire clip from that entire Rosie piece available anywhere.
Ms Holliday is brilliant. Yes the facial expressions alone would keep Forbidden Broadway afloat with jokes for years to come but heck, if it takes a few facial expressions to give us musical prefection I think half the actresses today need to start mimicing Mr. Ed.

I am fully convinced that I DON'T WANT Jennifer Hudson to try to be Jennifer Holliday in the film. She would get laughed off of the screen by most movie audiences if she chewed that much scenery. It worked on the stage, but on film it would be beyond ridiculous.

Those facial expressions don't say effortless to me. But she does sound great.
I am fully convinced that Jennifer Hudson has the vocal chops to nail this song. Can she act it as well? That's to be determined.

Will you people please explain your fascination with Fantasia? It was announced back in November she lost the part as Effie, yet her name is consistently in these “Dreamgirls” related threads.
