Though I've never ever had the chance to see any of the FB shows, I do own most of their CDs up until "Rude Awakening". I would love to see a new show with them, and their take on "War Paint", "Great Comet" and "Hello Dolly".
In the meantime, what are some of you favorite 'acts' from FB?
My #1 favorite has to be "Patti Class" (Patti LuPone in 'Master Class'
. The LuPone imitation, the lyrics, and the set-up (Glenn Close, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Madonna as her students) are all incredible. To this day every time I listen to it I can't stop laughing.
A close runner-up is Barbra Streisand's "Farewell Tour" featuring "Mame". ("It never worked with that Murder-She-Wrote-person, do you know who I mean? So, I called Jerry Herman... and after some haggling..." ) LOL!

YES! Anything with Les Miz...ridiculously funny.
Also love the intro to "Cleans Up It's Act" - the duet with Julie Andrews and Guliani!
Does anyone know when a new season of FB will start? For a while it was playing forever...

I'm pretty sure they did Spamilton instead of FB last year, so maybe that time but a year later?

Definitely something you need to see to fully appreciate, but the Miss Saigon spoof complete with a toy airplane flying back and forth on a clothesline made me lose it (especially because I had just seen Miss Saigon right before)
I've never seen any of the FB shows live either, but I bought a lot of the albums back in the day. "Wicked~~~~! Wicked~~~! INTERMISSION~~~~~~~~!" still makes me smile. Also the Cats parody done to Chorus Line songs.
My thing about Forbidden Broadway is while I love good natured ribbing, I didn't like it when it got too bitter. I never cared for lyrics like, "It sucks to be staring in a musical no one wants to see, it sucks to be me~~~" because let's face it, I like a lot of these shows! (Yes, obviously everyone's mileage will vary with *which* shows they will put up with going through the ringer - see the above Cats parody).

That must have been hilarious. I wish they did a whole spoof on SUNSET BOULEVARD back in the day - they had so much to work with (Patti, Faye, Glenn, etc). Instead we had snippets in "Patti Class" (wish i saw that in person!) and a snippet of Elaine Paige ("One foot more and you'd see my face...I'm too short for that big staircase..."
. Then the duet with Joe Gillis and Ethel Merman (which was 'ehhh'
. I want the whole thing - as they've done with Les Miz!
