Every song that Alessandrini had made a parody of, I end up singing his lyrics along with the music. When my friend was letting me listen to her iPod, she picked 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight" and I sang the Forbidden Broadway lyrics.

Maybe this is just me?

Nah, I do that too. Especially with "Unworthy of Your Love..." I drift between that and the Forbidden Broadway version.

Oh yeah... this happens to me all the time. When I'm randomly singing a show tune I'll accidentally sing a line from FB parody. I was singing Sweet Charity the other day and said "Fosse is mainstream at last!" instead of "Somebody loves me at last!"

I've never been able to get the I'm Entertainment/Ann Miller song out of my head. "When I killed L.B. Mayer by hitting with my hair."

Oh my gosh, what show is "Unworthy of your love" from? I have it in my head now but I can't think of what show it's from.

Unworthy of Your Love is from Assassins.

I was watching the RENT trailer and I couldn't get "Seasons of Hype" out of my head.

Try having this happen to you while your performing... I was in a Broadway revue last year, and during a rehearsal for one of my songs "Oh What A Beautiful Morning", I started singing the Forbidden Broadway lyircs...

"Oh what a beautiful moron
Oh what a beautiful guy..."

Thank the lord it was only a rehearsal!

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

You're not the only one, I know the lyrics to the Music Man "Trouble" parody better than the actual lyrics

"And the only shows in the black are the shows they show on HBO, you wanna pay 50 bucks when you could have watched TV! Make you're blood boil, well I should say! Now friends lemme tell ya what I mean: Ya got 1,2,3,4,5,6 quality productions, but none of them are from this season, and not much coming up and that ends in "P" and that rymes with "D" and that stands for "DULL"!"

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous

You see, the thing is for me I got into Forbidden Broadway way before I knew alot of the shows they were making fun of. I know way more FB parodies than I do actual shows. A lot of times now when I get a new cast recording I listen to it and go "Hey! Forbidden Broadway did a parody of this!" and then I can't get past it. re: Forbidden Broadway has scarred me

I do it.
I know most of the words to FB. Sometimes I will be watching a show and say the words to Fb.
Like Mamma Mia- What an awful show, bye bye theater is finally dying.
Now they have a new version to Mamma Mia.
I think there is three different versions.
I like the first.
I do it with Defying Chenoweth all the time. Defying Gravity comes on and I sing the FB WORDS.
Fellow New Yorkians. I would like to introduce to you, my beloved friend and glamourous co star- Idina Menzel.
I hope your happy. I hope your happy now.
GO INTO THE WORDS....

I saw a production of Ragtime a few weeks ago and when Coalhouse was serenading Sarah I was starting to tear up. Just then, my wife turned to me and whispered/sang "Sarah, please comb your hair!!!" I was still in tears, but for totally different reasons.

I have actually forgotten all the lyrics to "Les Miz" because the Forbidden Broadway ones are so much wittier and more memorable--

Come watch us grovel in the dirt
Then buy a souvenir and don it
Rich folks pay twenty bucks a shirt
That has a starving pauper on it!

I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."

I picked up Forbidden Broadway SVU on a whim -- I was almost crying. Since then, I've been on a rampage -- it's just too much.

I Can't hear "Everything's Coming Up Roses" without expecting them to sing "For me and for Me!!!!"
I also don't remember "I Get a Kick Out of You" without singing "I get a Kick Out of Me"

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

I can't listen to "I could have danced all night" without thinking "I couldn't hit the note, I couldn't hit the note until they dropped the key, Now that I'm 56 my vocal cords play tricks and when I push I pee..." :)

I do it CONSTANTLY :) Especially with "Trouble." We also sang "You're Just In Love" as a group number in my singing class performance, and I was secretly singing "You don't need amplifyin' / You'll be loud as a lion / Be like me / Use your diap-HRAAAAA-gmmmmmm..."
