It was even more inside in the early days...
Have you heard the latest news?
Harold Prince now is shining shoes.
Well, did you evah?
What a swell season it's been.
Frederick Loewe says Alan Jay
Cast his wife and divorced his play.

So sad. Saw it on tour and own 6 of their CDs.
That's such a shame. I saw "The Roast of Utopia" last year with my family & found it hilarious. Especially the "Company" spoof.

Is this show funny to people who aren't familiar with some of the shows? Obviously I have seen a few of the shows that are spoofed, but not all.
I'd love to see it before it closes, but should I see more shows they spoof prior to going to see the show?
How come this show never transferred? I mean it is not literally "forbidden" is it?
Besides with every show on Broadway spoofing Broadway, is there really still a need for FB?

So sorry to hear that! I really enjoyed "Rude Awakening". I thought it was for the most part one of their best ever, especially the spoof of Spring Awakening, and The Little Mermaid flipping around the stage was hysterical!
I saw it on a weeknight and the house looked virtually full, but there were a few times I was there years ago with about 50 other people, on discounts. They didn't rule out a come back, and I hope it happens in the not too distant future.
btw: Valerie Fagan, she's still got it!
I guess we will have to get tickets for this last edition.
It is sort of like an old friend moving away. It will be missed.
DON'T LET IT DIE. I REFUSE TO LET IT CLOSE.
THE SUN WILL COME OUT MANANA.
As I have stated before, this news is a real BUMMER!!
I've seen it many times from the year it started. But I'll never forgive them for ruining Les Miserables for me.
Now whenever I see the real show and the turntable starts moving I get the giggles big time. And when the little one is on the shoulders all I can think of is that little dummy strapped onto shoulders flapping in the breeze.
Goodbye, old friend.

As long as there are Broadway fans there will be a place for FORBIDDEN BROADWAY. Maybe in future they should look at doing a limited season. What is sad is that there is so little revue about nowdays and this closing makes for one less revue.
What's the [title of show] skit? I saw FB a week ago and didn't see it.
I saw FB once at the very beginning, in the early '80s, and laughed my fool head off. More recently, I thought of it like I think of the Statue of Liberty: I'm glad it's there, but I never go to see it.
Except now it won't be there. I'm a little sad, but it just means that parody Broadway lyrics will once more become truly insider references, calling cards of a secret club, rather than trying to find an audience of their own.
