Foreign musicals — Page 2

I saw LES MISERABLES in French in Paris in 1992. This was already the Cameron Mackintosh version, but all in French.

I am bilingual ( one of which is English). I was glad that I was thoroughly familiar with the music and had also seen the show on Broadway and in London before that. But it was quite an experience!

Irma La Douce was a huge hit in France (written by Marguerite Monnot who wrote some of Edith Piaf's greatest hits) and was translated into English and became a huge hit in London THEN came to Broadway.
And DAMN, I'd love to see a revival of that.

Suzy... there is a musical based on Mecano's songs? It was one of my favorite bands growing up... (I grew up in Latin America)
